Design Engineer Work Planner
As a Design Engineer you work from our French head office in Villepinte together with your colleagues in the Engineering & Design department on project preparation. Most of the Engineering & Design department is based in our head office in Tilburg. We work worldwide on the largest projects in the event industry such as Tomorrowland, Sziget, Lowlands, Olympic Games, World Championship competitions and Formula 1.
After a training in our head office in Tilburg, you will join the Paris 2024 project team. You will play an essential role there for the Olympic Games of Paris 2024, creating and adapting designs in response to customer wishes and site visits. You work closely with the project director and can count on support from the E&D department.
After the specific assignment for Paris 2024, you will be the E&D representative in France to manage all French projects and depending on the need of the Main E&D department on worldwide projects.
Job content
You are the linchpin between the Sales department and the Operations department. You ensure a smooth project preparation, and you monitor the agreed deadlines. You are an important discussion partner for the internal and external customer, subcontractors and suppliers, who are located worldwide. You make project calculations, are responsible for budgeting in collaboration with the Sales team during the sales process; you work out the projects technically, youmake the project drawings and the material planning. You ensure the right balance in making your own decisions or consulting with account manager and planner. After that, you correctly transfer the projects to the Field Engineers of the Operations department. You report to the Manager Engineering & Design.
What makes you the right candidate?
- MBO 4 + or HBO degree technical business administration, engineering, mechanical engineering or WTB;
- 0 - 4 years of work experience as an engineer, planner, mechanical engineer;
- Experience with 2D-CAD software is an advantage;
- A good knowledge in word and writing of the English and French language;
- You are a problem solver, analytical and a team player;
- You have an eye for detail, a hands-on mentality and think out of the box;
- You are in possession of a driver's license and you live 1 hour away from Villepinte maximum.
