Fleet Manager – The Netherlands

You will be responsible for our Fleet department. Fleet, with most employees working from our headquarters in Tilburg, is responsible for everything related to our rental fleet of equipment and materials. This includes material planning, product development, repair & maintenance, logistics, purchasing, R&D and managing our rental fleet in our software package. Our materials are stored in warehouses in various countries worldwide.

Job content

You directly manage employees and are operationally active yourself. You continuously take care of the materials that must be “ready to rent”. You identify shortages and surpluses, and find solutions in consultation with project management, purchasing and our offices abroad. In addition, you deal with:

  • Improvement processes and inventory optimization;
  • Distributing tasks and responsibilities;
  • Monitoring progress and quality;
  • Co-determine strategy for the logistics process;
  • Translating plans into annual plans for material supply, storage and transport capacity;
  • Drawing up and monitoring departmental budgets;
  • Procurement of materials, raw materials, parts, transportation and services;
  • Initiating improvements regarding the automation of the logistics processes.

  • You have analytical skills and are creative in finding solutions to unexpected challenges;
  • You have at least a bachelor's level and several years in a similar position;
  • You can train and coach your colleagues in the department;
  • You monitor and improve procedures;
  • You are internationally oriented;
  • You are used to working in an environment that goes on 24/7 requiring quick response;
  • You are communicatively strong, sociable, creative and entrepreneurial;
  • You are eager to find solutions for the staffing of our equipment in a constantly changing environment;
  • You have, preferably, experience in the rental industry;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.
