Fleet Manager US
As a Fleet manager you are responsible for the entire rental fleet. You ensure the rental fleet remains “ready-to-rent.” This fleet consists of materials designed for international deploy ability and uniformity. You also ensure that materials in our system are assigned to the correct projects.
Job content
In addition to the above, you identify timely material shortages for projects and discusses potential purchase or sale of materials with the Group Manager Fleet & Support. And you ensure the barcode system is always up to date and properly utilized so that the rental fleet is always accurate. MTD has warehouses in Las Vegas and Atlanta.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Acts as the contact person and discusses purchase quotes for the rental fleet and rolling stock in consultation with the Group Manager Fleet & Support;
- Updates the rental program with the correct project data;
- Keeps the entire rental fleet “ready-to-rent”;
- Keeps up with technical developments through further training;
- Manages the fleet planner;
- Processes changes in purchase prices;
- Discusses changes in purchase prices with Sales and Project Office and processes any changes in AGP;
- Checks materials in and out;
- Ensures that the materials used by technicians are recorded on material lists;
- Monitors the registration of materials used on projects;
- Monitors the registration of materials returned from projects;
- Analyzes material needs and creates forecasts.
What makes you the right candidate?
- You have a good written and spoken knowledge of English;
- You have preferably completed higher technical installation training;
- You can negotiate and persuade;
- Good skills with programs such as Microsoft Office and a Warehouse Management System;
- Team player;
- Customer-driven;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Flexible and no 9-to-5 mentality;
- Can work independently in a structured and disciplined manner;
- You have 2 to 6 years of experience in similar positions;
- You can work under high pressure on various tasks, remain calm, maintain an overview and can prioritize.
